Day 8...

Jackets

Hey gals, I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately. My school starts Sept. 6th and I still haven't got my schedule! But anyways I'm trying to finish my summer assignments and stuff. I know most of you have already started school, but I am going to continue with the back to essentials. I mean even if you did start school you could still purchase some of these items the next time you shop. So you probably already own a jacket in your closet, but this post will give you some ideas on how to wear them in a different way than the usual. Ya know, your denim jacket with colored shorts and a belt. Or your jacket with a dress. I really hope this post sparks some creativity the next time you pick an outfit for school. Erika xo 

Madewell look- If you have a preppy jacket/blazer don't just throw on a pair of jeans with it. Mix it it up with a cool blouse and some neutral colored shorts. I saw this look on Madewell's tumblr and loved it. 

If it's raining outside but it's going to be a bit warm or humid, or it's a little chilly, put on a leather jacket with your shorts. 

Whitney Port- I think this outfit is very different, but very cool at the same time. I LOVE denim jackets with leather sleeves. Usually people wear a denim jacket with their cute little summer dresses when they go back to school. But take it from Whitney, don't be afraid to pair a really different and unique jacket with your dresses. You'll be surprised at how good you'll look.

Day 7...

Pullover Sweaters
I love sweaters because they're perfect for fall. Anything you can wear in the fall I love. I love a cute, warm, and comfy sweater! Erika

Forever 21- you can wear an open knit sweater in warmer weather, with some shorts. Or throw a scarf over it when it gets chilly!

wear a statement necklace with an over sized or a grandma sweater 

you don't have to wear a sweater by itself. wear your favorite sweater with  a cute vest.

Day 6...

Maxi Skirts and Dresses

The best thing about maxi skirts and dresses, is that they're one of the rare really comfy yet so-cute/stylish-at-the-same-time pieces. Kind of like boyfriend jeans. Your really comfortable but at the same time you're making a big statement. I personally don't really like wearing a maxi dress by itself. I like to layer a lot. It's a cool piece to play around with and it'll spark some creativity when you're thinking of some outfits to wear. Especially with this upcoming (and desperately wanted by fall lovers like me) season change. Erika

Kendall Jenner- add a cute tank top and sandals to your maxi skirt

if your style is more casual, layer your maxi dress with a shirt over it and some cute sneakers

if you're interested in wearing maxi skirts in the fall then consider pairing it with a blazer or jacket along with a cool pair of boots

Day 5...

Hi guys I know I haven't posted in a long time but lots of things have been going on. I've been working on my school summer assignments, my sister went to college, and suddenly I have 2 rabbits to take care of. So there's been a lot of changes goin on, but I'm just going to continue on with the back to school essentials. So even though day 5 was due a long time ago, lets just pretend that today is day 5. day 5...Colored Jeans!

Colored and printed jeans are really fun. I think they can really make your outfit or add that extra something to save it from being really ordinary. If you haven't already picked up some colored or printed jeans, jeggings, leggings whatever you prefer.... ya need to!

I don't know how you all feel about the Kardashians, but before you get into your little rage about how much you hate them...I'm showing this picture because of the yellow jeans. A little jacket with some colored jeans is a casual yet cute outfit to wear. It goes for school and a day with your family at the circus.

Free People- I love corduroy skinny pants. I think they made a great comeback and I actually have 2 pairs myself (:

This is a picture from the Disney channel show Jessie, and we are looking at the girl with the blue pants. I like how she's colorblocking with her blue jeans & pink cardigan. That pink brings out the royal blue jeans. Even her blouse has some blue and pink in it. 

Okay last but not least, is Alexa Chung. Wearing a tee with colored jeans just looks cool.  Alexa's outfits always look cool and just effortless.

I really like maxi skirts and dresses. And I like funky sandals. And bohemian style tank tops.

I don't wear any foundation. The most I do for my face is exfoliate regularly.

My favorite makeup is lip gloss

I don't like baggy skinny jeans on girls. I don't like huge sweatshirts on girls. I don't like the classic style Uggs or their moccasins. I CAN'T STAND when girls wear leggings as pants and they don't cover their butt. I don't like when girls don't wear tank tops under shirts that need to have tank top. And I don't like when girls wear a plain t shirt when they wear a skirt.

No tattoos.

Day 4....

Cardigans!
For those of you who are not very creative when it comes to your outfits, cardigans will be your saviour this year. Literally any type of top will go with a cardigan. And the best part is, they can be worn in any type of weather. You could pair them with shorts and flip flops, or jeans and a pair of boots. A cute cardigan and a nice tank top or tee can go a long way! Erika xo

Skinny Belts!
I love skinny belts. I think they're really cute and I love how they're so mini. To me, they make your outfits more fashionable. Even though regular belts can give your outfit a fashion boost, skinny belts, to me, just bring that extra something. **SKINNY BELTS ARE ONLY EYE CANDY. THEY ARE NOT DESIGNED TO ACTUALLY HOLD UP YOUR PANTS! Erika
